When undertaking a basement renovation, the last thing you want to start off with is water issues. Knowing our exterior weeping tile was failing thanks to a small excavation outside and high moisture levels in the basement, we contacted Atlantic Basement Systems in search of a solution that would not include digging up the entire circumference of the house. We were offered a more cost-effective solution that was also less chaotic. The crew was professional and the job completed in the alloted time and budget. My basement is now finished and I have the peace of mind knowing that water issues are not going to spoil the investement. Hello, The West and North foundation walls of the townhouse are wet (at bottom). There is also bad/musty smell coming from the underneath of the basement floor/concrete slab and from under the sump pit. There is also a vertical crack on the foundation wall that goes all the way down to the cove joint and then the crack expends to the basement floor slab. In addition, apparently there was a flood in the basement (from the washer). The water stayed for some time , probably water went bad and sipped down to the concrete of the basement slab (perhaps why such a bad smell).
